Let's take a closer look at why clients must avoid their morning coffee and how caffeine affects their permanent makeup procedure.

Excessive Bleeding

Caffeine can increase blood flow, which may make the client more likely to bleed during the procedure. Excessive bleeding can dilute and expel the pigment, which may affect how the brows heal and the final healed results.

Sensitivity

Coffee before a permanent makeup appointment may also increase sensitivity, meaning you may experience more discomfort during the procedure.

Is it just coffee?

Nope! Anything with caffeine.

Please do not consume caffeine on the day of your permanent makeup appointment, including coffee, tea, Coke, Diet Coke, chocolate, energy drinks or even decaf coffee, as it can still contain small amounts of caffeine.

A little preparation goes a long way!

Skipping caffeine on the day of your appointment can help minimize sensitivity and excessive bleeding, making your permanent makeup experience more comfortable and helping to achieve the best possible healed results.

So, skip the coffee for the day and enjoy it as your post-appointment treat!
